Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference is only a few weeks away, but they can’t wait that long to reveal some new news. Apple is organizing a virtual event on May 7, the stream will begin at 10 a.m. ET and will be available on Apple’s website, the Apple TV app, and most likely YouTube.

As usual, Apple has been vague about what to expect. However, they shared animated graphic a hand holding an Apple Pencil in the center of a stylized, colorful Apple logo on they twitter. That means that the event will most likely be focused on the iPad launch.

Now rumors have circulated that Apple would refresh the iPad Pro and iPad Air in a few sizes with M3 and M2 CPUs, respectively. The iPad Pro is rumored to get OLED panels, and the lineup will also include a larger 12.9-inch iPad Air.

According to reports, a new Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro and an updated Apple Pencil are both on the way. In any event, it’s been over two years since the latest iPad Air and about 18 months since the M2-powered iPad Pros arrived, so both are overdue for an update.
