Design
The Logitech G Cloud showcases a clean white design with stylish yellow accents on the buttons and thumbsticks. It strikes the perfect balance between minimalism and gaming aesthetics. The Logitech G Cloud ergonomics are well thought out, providing a comfortable and well-balanced feel. It’s neither too heavy nor too light, ensuring an enjoyable gaming experience. Logitech branding is present throughout the device but in a subtle and tasteful manner.
Setting up the Logitech G Cloud is a breeze and should only take a few minutes, after connecting to your Wi-Fi, you’ll need to go through simple on-screen prompts, such as signing into your Google account and accepting the terms. The device runs on Android, allowing you to choose between tablet and handheld modes. Handheld mode is recommended for the best overall experience. It comes pre-installed with apps like Xbox cloud gaming, GeForce Now, and Steam Link, but you can download additional apps as needed.
Screen
The handheld features a stunning seven-inch display with an IPS LCD that supports full HD resolution and on a screen this size, 1080p is more than enough. It is limited to 60 hertz, the colors are vibrant, and the brightness is suitable for indoor use, reaching up to 450 nits. However, like most mobile devices, it can be challenging to use the console in direct sunlight due to reflections. Nevertheless, the glossy screen offers a visually pleasing experience and supports touch input for games that require it.
Controls
The Logitech G Cloud boasts well-designed controls, including an asymmetrical thumbstick layout that offers a comfortable grip. The A, B, X, and Y buttons are firm and responsive, while the D-pad is conveniently positioned on the left side. Two option buttons near the top of the screen provide easy access to additional functions. The yellow G button serves as the Xbox and PlayStation button when using the respective apps, and the home button returns you to the G Cloud dashboard. The top of the console features bumper buttons and triggers, a volume button, a power switch, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB-C port for charging.
The Logitech G Cloud gaming handheld comes with 64 gigabytes of storage, but there’s a Micro SD card slot if you want to expand on that later. Across the bottom, we have a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB-C port for charging.
What does it do?
The Logitech G Cloud serves a specific purpose: to allow gamers to play their favorite games away from their TV or desk setups. It doesn’t aim to replace your PS5, Xbox, or PC but rather provides a convenient option for gaming on the go. It fills the need for those times when sitting at your setup isn’t feasible or desirable, offering a pickup and play experience.
Xbox Gaming
The Logitech G Cloud supports Xbox gaming through two different apps: Xbox Cloud Gaming and Xbox Remote Play. With Xbox Cloud Gaming, you gain access to a vast library of games available on Game Pass. The screen quality and gameplay experience on the G Cloud are impressive, delivering smooth performance with minimal lag. This is dependent on your internet connection, but overall, the experience is excellent, particularly for games like Forza.

PlayStation Gaming
While PlayStation doesn’t offer a cloud gaming service like Xbox, it does provide PS Remote, allowing you to play games directly from your PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 on a compatible device. The official PS Remote app works well but recognizes only the touchscreen controls, not the physical buttons. However, a third-party app called psplay resolves this limitation, enabling full control via the physical buttons. This workaround provides an outstanding remote play experience on the PS5, allowing you to enjoy games like Star Wars from anywhere with a stable internet connection.
PC Gaming (GeForce Now)
GeForce Now is Nvidia’s cloud gaming service that lets you stream and play PC games you already own. With GeForce Now, you can play games without downloading them, even if you don’t own a PC. This service bypasses the need for Remote Play or a console and streams the games directly to the Handheld. Games like Cyberpunk and Apex Legends run smoothly with instant response, offering a high-quality gaming experience. Additionally, services like Shadow provide full cloud-based PC streaming, allowing you to run a virtual PC and stream games to the device. The only requirement is a reliable internet connection.
Android Gaming
Since the Logitech G Cloud runs on Android, it provides access to the Google Play Store, allowing you to download and play a wide range of mobile games. Android games perform excellently on the device, and you can even play them offline. However, it’s worth noting that some Android games, like Call of Duty Mobile, don’t recognize the controller and can only be played using the touchscreen controls. Due to the width of the console, reaching the screen during gameplay can be challenging in such cases.
UI and Specs
The Logitech G Cloud offers a user-friendly interface, and you can choose between tablet and handheld modes, both accessible via the settings. Handheld mode provides a cleaner and more immersive experience, but some users prefer tablet mode and add custom themes for full personalization.
Under the hood, it’s powered by a Snapdragon 720G processor and comes with 64 gigabytes of internal storage. While this might seem limited, it’s important to remember that the device focuses on cloud streaming rather than storing games locally. If needed, storage can be expanded using a microSD card. It console supports both 2.4 and 5 gigahertz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, built-in speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Bluetooth headphone compatibility.
Regarding the battery, it is rated for over 12 hours of use, and based on my testing so far, that’s pretty accurate. In fact, over the last couple of days, I have seen more than 12 hours of battery life, and when I haven’t been using it, I have seen it last for over a week in standby mode.
Is it Worth Buying?
Now, the big question is whether the Logitech G Cloud is worth purchasing. The console offers a decent screen size, excellent controls, a sleek design, and compatibility with all major gaming services for both cloud and local gaming. It’s an ideal companion for remote play on the PlayStation 5 or accessing games through Xbox Game Pass. However, the price point may be a drawback for some. Currently priced at $299, it may seem slightly expensive for a device dedicated to game streaming. Nevertheless, considering the features and convenience it provides, the Logitech G Cloud offers significant value. Moreover, a limited-time offer includes six months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, reducing the effective price to approximately $265. Ultimately, the Logitech G Cloud fills the gap for gaming on the go, making it an attractive option for mobile gamers.
A decent screen size, great controls, feels nice, and works with all the gaming services you'd want or need to use, both for cloud and local gaming.
