What’s in the box
- EarFun Air 2 NC Earbuds.
- Charging Case.
- 4 different size of ear tips for perfect fit.
- USB-C Charging cable.
- A User manual.
The Air 2 NC feels the same as the EarFun Air 2. The buds’ color has changed slightly, with a more silver tone. There is a touch control zone, though it is not as visible as on the Air Pro 4. Additionally, there is an LED on both buds that indicates whether they are connected or not. These buds do attract dust and scratches, but with IPX5 sweat and water resistance, there’s no need to worry much about damage during workouts. The build quality feels premium and there are no comfort issues. They are super light, fit perfectly in my ears, and I tested them for long hours without any discomfort or pain.
These buds have Bluetooth 5.3 and Google’s Fast Pair, which allows for super-fast connections, just open the case and a pop-up appears to connect or set up. These buds also support dual-device connection allowing you to connect to both a phone and a laptop or tablet. They automatically switch to the device playing audio, if you’re listening on your phone and then start playing something on your laptop, the audio will switch automatically, which is very helpful. However, you can’t use LDAC audio support; it only works with stable connections to prevent any connection issues.

The EarFun Audio app offers support, allowing you to view the charging status of both the case and the buds. Then NC Options witch includes Ambient Sound, Wind-Ear Adaptive ANC, and regular Noise Cancelling. There’s a Game Mode option to toggle on or off, and a Theater Mode that provides surround sound for a cinema-like experience, which is quite impressive.
Then app has an equalizer with various presets, such as Rock and Treble Reduce, and you have option custom equalizer settings as you like. You can customize touch controls, manage dual-device connections, adjust audio quality, set voice prompts, and configure the automatic shutdown timer. EarFun Air 2 NC buds feature 11mm wool composite dynamic drivers and support Hi-Res LDAC audio. In my testing, the sound quality is good, but it doesn’t achieve the same depth as their Pro earbuds, like the Air Pro 4. Sound feels lighter rather than deep but it maintains control at high volumes without distorting and remains stable with decent bass and depth.
Game Mode which claims 55ms ultra-low latency. While playing Call of Duty Mobile, I noticed a slight delay between the sound and actions, but it wasn’t significant. The latency is comfortable enough for gaming, and you can easily enjoy the experience without any major issues.
In theater mode, the sound is slightly lower, but you get a surround sound experience, which is quite impressive. You might not notice it much with music, but if you’re watching a movie, you’ll really feel the impact of the theater mode feature.
These buds provide up to 43dB of active noise cancellation. In my testing, even at low volumes, they dampened the surrounding sound enough up to 95% that I wasn’t disturbed by external noise. There are different types of noise cancellation, such as Ambient Sound, Wind Noise Cancellation, Ear-Adaptive ANC, and standard Noise Cancelling. Overall, the noise cancellation is good, and if you’re listening at low volume with ANC enabled, you won’t be disturbed.
It features 6 microphones, and I tested the call quality, which was clear loud. With AI noise-cancelling technology, conversations were clear and free of background noise, whether you were in a market or on a bus.
The touch controls on the buds top work smoothly, Just a touch and they respond instantly without any delays. You can customize each bud’s control in the EarFun Audio app to suit your preferences.

Battery life on the EarFun Air 2 NC is claimed to last up to 9 hours of playtime, with an additional 31 hours provided by the case. In my testing, I got 2.5 hours of playtime from 100% to 70%, which included 30 minutes with gaming mode active. This is close to their claim but slightly less. The case, available in black and has a slimmer design. However, it is prone to scratches, even on the logo covering the hinge, which is disappointing. The case features a USB-C port for charging along with support for wireless charging. Additionally, fast-charging feature is a great with just 10 minutes of charging provides 2 hours of playtime, which is impressive for a budget-friendly option.
Verdict
So what I think about this earbuds?
I’ve been using EarFun Air 2 NC for the past week, and it has clear, high-quality sound with features such as Google’s Fast Pair, Hi-Res LDAC sound, multi-device connection, and up to 43dB noise canceling. With battery life of 31 hours total playtime, which is impressive for budget earbuds, especially considering that recent models like the new Apple AirPods don’t offer all these features. It does have drawbacks, such as build quality and a lack of significant design changes. Overall, it’s a great budget option to enjoy high-end Audio and features at price $69.
