EarFun has launched the Wireless Headphones EarFun Wave Pro. These headphones boast a 40mm DLC dynamic driver and 5 microphones. They provide up to 48dB of hybrid active noise cancellation. And 800mAh battery offers up to 80 hours of playback and supports fast charging price at $79.
Design and Comfort
So first we are going to talk about what we get in the box and the design and how it feels while using it.
When I opened the box, I found a carry case, perfect for transporting the headphones on the go. The quality of the case is impressive. Inside, the headphones were neatly placed. In the front net pocket, there was an aux cable for wired connectivity and a Type-C USB cable for charging. That was everything included in the box.
It’s currently available only in black, with a white version planned for later. The headphones are made of plastic, with a metal plate in the headband for height adjustment. Both speakers feature the Earfun logo in the center of the covers. There are aux and USB Type-C charging ports, with ventilation holes at the bottom. The headband has good cushioning, ensuring prolonged wear won’t cause discomfort or damage to your hair.
The earcups of the speakers feel slightly bulky but are notably comfortable, allowing me to enjoy hours of music daily without discomfort. Occasionally, I need to take them off due to heat and sweat, which causes slight leakage, but they generally remain comfortable. The build quality is premium, comparable to higher-priced headphones.
Connectivity and EarFun App
They offers Bluetooth 5.3 and supports dual device connections, letting you link to two devices simultaneously. Pairing is simple: power on the headphones, activate Bluetooth on your phone, find Earfun Wave Pro in Bluetooth settings, select it, and tap to pair.
I find the dual device connection excellent. Typically, I connect first to my smartphone for music or podcasts while working, then to my laptop. This setup lets me switch between devices seamlessly. For instance, when I start a YouTube video on my laptop, the music from my smartphone pauses automatically.
In my experience, this feature works flawlessly without any issues.
EarFun offers the EarFun Audio app, available on the Play Store and Apple App Store. This app lets you manage your connected headphones, check battery levels, switch noise-canceling modes, activate Game mode, and use the EarFun Equalizer. The Equalizer provides three options: Default, Preset Equalizer (featuring profiles like rock, bass boost, treble boost, pop, classic, or bass reducer), and a Custom Equalizer for personalized sound settings.
Customize button functions for added convenience. Settings include all mentioned features, tutorials, FAQs, Bluetooth audio quality settings (from stable connection to LDAC), dual device pairing, voice assistant settings, auto power-off, factory reset, and firmware updates.
Buttons
On the right speaker, you’ll find the power button for turning it on and off, then volume controls and an NC (noise cancellation) button. Additionally, there’s a small LED light that indicates the power status. On the left speaker, you’ll only find a USB Type-C charging port.
Taps | Volume + | Volume – | NC |
---|---|---|---|
Tap Once | Volume UP | Volume down | Noise Cancelling |
Long Press | Next track | Previous track | Disabled |
The buttons function efficiently. Press and hold the power button to turn the device on or off. The volume up button increases volume with a single press and skips tracks with a long press. Conversely, the volume down button decreases volume with a single press and goes to the previous track with a long press. The NC button allows switching between four cancellation modes: ambient mode, wind noise cancelling, comfort ANC, and strong ANC. A long press disables the noise cancellation feature.

The Wave Pro wireless headphones feature a 40mm DLC Dynamic driver and support Hi-Res Audio and LDAC, ensuring premium sound quality. After a week of use, I’ve found the sound to be excellent, with strong bass and clear audio.
While using I observed a slight sound delay when watching Instagram reels. Moving from the homepage to reels resulted in a 5 to 6-second delay before sound playback, which was noticeable but otherwise not a major issue.
Equipped with 5 mics and AI algorithm noise cancellation offers clear call quality. During testing, the microphones performed well, delivering clear voice transmission while effectively canceling background noise.
Overall, priced at $79, the Wave Pro delivers crisp sound and clear call quality, making it a solid choice for budget-conscious consumers seeking reliable audio performance.
Noise Cancelling
In the app, you can disable LDAC for high-quality sound and enable a stable connection to address issues.
Regarding noise cancellation (NC), it offers up to 45dB hybrid active noise cancellation, effectively reducing many noises. I tested the EarFun Wave Pro in a noisy transport area in India where vehicle sounds surrounded me. When I activated noise cancellation, it significantly reduced the noise, creating a pleasantly quiet environment.
The app features four noise cancelling modes: Ambient Mode, Wind Noise Cancelling which reduces wind noise, ideal for travel when windows are open, Comfort ANC which reduces background noise while maintaining music enjoyment, and Strong ANC which eliminates up to 99% of background noise, delivering clear music enjoyment.
Overall, I found the noise cancellation effective, adjusting background audio from comfortable to strong noise cancellation levels as desired.
Battery Life
Earfun Wave Pro boasts an 800mAh battery and provides up to 80 hours of playtime. In my use, I enjoyed music on it for around 3 hours or more, and it only dropped from 90% to 80%, as the EarFun claims it provides. When we test it more thoroughly for playtime, we’ll update this according to the results, but at this time, the battery playtime is amazing for the price point.
Charging it is pretty simple; you need to connect it with a USB Type-C cable to the ports on the left speaker. It supports fast charging; if you charge it for a minute, you can enjoy up to 5 hours of music, which is not something high-priced headsets typically provide.
Final Thought
Is it worth buying?
The EarFun Wave Pro stands out with its 40mm DLC dynamic driver, delivering rich sound quality and impressive noise cancellation. It offers up to 80 hours of continuous playtime, surpassing many high-end headphones like the Sony WF-1000XM5 and Sennheiser. The build quality is commendable, but some users may find the speaker design bulky, affecting comfort. Occasional sound delays, particularly noticeable on platforms like Instagram reels, slightly detract from the experience. However, priced at just $79, the Wave Pro provides exceptional value for those seeking a premium headset without breaking the bank.
