I’ve upgraded to the Quntis RGB ScreenLinear monitor lamp. This features dual lights: one for eye care and another for customizable RGB backlighting. With 15 modes of dimmable backlight and 3 color temperature settings, it promises high-quality color.

Quntis Monitor Light with RGB Unboxing

In the box, first we get a user manual, and then we have the Quntis RBG lamp, the mounting clip, and a USB cable that is pre-connected to it. The packaging is good which can not damage light while shipping.

Design

The Quntis RGB ScreenLinear measures 40cm, smaller than the traditional Quntis ScreenLinear model. On monitors 32 inches or larger, it may not fully cover the screen, but it fits perfectly on a 24-inch monitor. The clip design, shaped like a ball, adds weight and may not appeal to everyone, though the overall build quality in durable plastic is good.

One notable downside is the USB wire setup. Unlike other models, the wire connects directly to the lamp without a port. If the wire is damaged, you can’t replace it yourself; a visit to a repair center is necessary. This lack of modularity could be inconvenient and adds an extra step in case of wire damage.

Design

On the front side, you won’t find any controls. Instead, it’s adorned with the Quntis logo on the right and the ScreenLinear branding on the left. This minimalist design approach avoids cluttering the front with control symbols.

On the right edge, you’ll find touch controls for power and adjusting the temperature. Meanwhile, on the left edge, there are touch controls for the RGB lighting. Simply tap once to turn the light on, and hold for a moment to turn it off. To cycle through different RGB modes, just tap until you find the one you like. It’s a straightforward and user-friendly interface.

 Dimmer Light

I’ve been testing the Quntis RGB ScreenLinear with my Samsung Smart Monitor M5 32-inch, and it performs as expected. It features a substantial LED light source with warm white, white, and phantom LEDs, offering versatile lighting options.

The color temperatures range from 3000k warm white for a cozy ambiance, to 4500k natural white for everyday tasks, and up to 6500k true white for bright, daylight-like illumination. These options ensure the Quntis RGB ScreenLinear can adapt to different lighting needs, balancing productivity and comfort during extended use.

Modes and Performance

The RGB light offers 15 different lighting effects. Switch between them with a single tap on the left-side touch buttons. It adjusts color temperature effortlessly, setting the perfect gaming mood. For productivity and enjoyment, toggle the individual RGB lights on or off. This makes it a versatile 2-in-1 monitor lamp, ideal for both work and gaming. Priced at just $32, it offers great value compared to basic lamps on the market.

Conclusion

The Quntis RGB ScreenLinear monitor lamp is ideal for productivity and gaming, offering 15 RGB lighting effects at a budget-friendly price. Its dual-light design blends eye-care benefits with ambient RGB backlighting for comfortable work environments. However, the lamp’s build quality is commendable, but the non-modular USB wire setup could be inconvenient if damaged. If you’re seeking a versatile 2-in-1 monitor lamp at a budget price, this could be a suitable choice.
