July 2024 promises an exciting lineup of new releases across Xbox, PS4, PS5 and PCs, bringing a diverse range of experiences for players. From futuristic detective adventures to adrenaline-pumping action RPGs and innovative multiplayer co-op games.

1. Nobody Wants to Die

The detective adventure game Nobody Wants to Die will now launch for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PCs via Steam on July 17. The developer announced this and also released a final in-game footage trailer.

Nobody Wants to Die is set 300 years in the future, where you play as a detective in a futuristic take on New York. The game features a time manipulation mechanic similar to Detroit: Become Human.

2. Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess

A couple of days ago, as part of the Summer Game Festival of 2024, Capcom announced the release date for Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess an action game and original IP.

We’ve been patiently waiting on this game since last year. Kunitsu-Gami, which incorporates third-person hack-and-slash elements and tower defense strategy components, now has a release date of July 19.

It will be available on PCs and both generations of consoles on July 19th 2024.

3. Once Human

Number three, we have Once Human Developers NetEase just released two more trailers for the game: one cinematic and one gameplay trailer.

Alongside these trailers, they announced a release date of July 9, 2024. The game will be available on PCs and mobile devices.

If you’re unfamiliar, Once Human is an open-world survival third-person shooter. It is made using Unreal Engine 5 and has been in development for over two years.

4. The First Descendant

The Warframe-like next-gen looter shooter The First Descendant finally has a release date of July 2, 2024, on all available platforms. Developers recently released another trailer for it, highlighting some co-op gameplay.

For those of you who are new here, The First Descendant is developed by the famous developers and publishers Nexon, who are also behind the previous game Once Human. This looter shooter is made using Unreal Engine 5 and has been in development for over two years.

5. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – The Sky Breaker

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has a story DLC coming out called The Sky Breaker. Ubisoft announced this DLC, showcasing its first gameplay and setting a release date of July 16.

The Sky Breaker DLC will let you continue your journey from the main game, featuring never-before-seen biomes, environments, new enemy archetypes, more mounts, and a brand new story arc.

6. Frostpunk 2

Number six, we have Frostpunk 2, probably the longest-awaited game on the list today. It has been over four years since we first saw it.

For those of you new to the series, Frostpunk is a strategy game that combines elements of survival, city building, and strategy, similar to games like Knights of Honor. It involves fighting against time, global cooling, and rebels.

Frostpunk 2 has a release date of July 2025 and will be coming exclusively to PCs.

7. Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn

Number seven, we have Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn. This open-world action RPG is set around the Mesopotamian timeline and features a mix of melee and flintlock-based weapons.

Your character has the ability to manipulate time and is named Enki, after the Mesopotamian or Sumerian god. We’ve discussed this game many times on this channel. Originally planned for a late 2022 release, it was delayed several times.

The Flintlock is now coming to PCs and both generations of consoles.

8. Dungeons of Hinterberg

Dungeons of Hinterberg just resurfaced with another trailer and now has a release date of July 18.

Dungeons of Hinterberg is the first work of its developers and is a Microsoft exclusive. In case you missed it, this is a modern-day fantasy action RPG adventure that puts the player in the shoes of a hitchhiker with a sword and a guide. It features third-person combat and a ton of surprise elements along the way.

9. The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak

NIS America will release The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak on July 5 this year. They announced this a couple of weeks ago and also released a new trailer for it.

Daybreak will be coming to all consoles with English and Japanese audio options. For those unfamiliar, this is actually a three-year-old Japanese game that was previously limited to Japan only. It’s the first game in the Trails through Daybreak story arc, which is huge.

10. Zenless Zone Zero

Zenless Zone Zero finally has a global release date of July 3, 2024, as announced by the VOP. Alongside this announcement, they released over 10 minutes of fully polished endgame footage.

Developers miHoYo confirmed that the game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, iOS, and Android, with cross-progression enabled.

Zenless Zone Zero is an action RPG adventure set in a post-apocalyptic world. Players take on the roles of entities from different worlds and dimensions, focusing on survival. The game promises a compelling story amidst its challenging setting.

11. EvilVEvil

EvilVevil you might remember from its reveal back in 2020, finally has a release date of July 16. It will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.

The EvilVEvil is a vampire co-op first-person shooter where players live the life of a haunter instead of being haunted. It promises an action-packed adventure in a fast-paced setting.

12. Asphalt 9: Legends – Asphalt Legends Unite

A couple of months ago, Gameloft announced a new Asphalt 9 game called Legends Unite. Originally slated for June, it will now release on July 17 for PCs, Switch, and mobile platforms. They recently released another trailer showcasing in-game footage.

Legends Unite will serve as a new expansion to the Asphalt series, featuring over 250 new hypercars, online multiplayer, a career mode, and much more.

13. Hot Lap Racing

The official news for Hot Lap Racing has been released by the developers with a final trailer. The game is set to launch on July 16, just a day before Asphalt 9. It will be available exclusively on PCs.

Hot Lap Racing is an arcade-style classic racing game that aims to revive the history of motorsports. It features GT cars, Formula 1 vehicles, real trucks, and even real drivers. The game has been in development for over 3 years.

14. Anger Foot

In case you missed the reveal trailer last year, the same team behind the game Broforce and other hits, Devolver Digital, has another game on the way. Named Anger Foot, it’s set for a full release on PC on July 11.

Anger Foot is a fast-paced first-person action game where kicking, rather than shooting, is the main mechanic. Players kick their way through enemies, sending them flying into oblivion. The game’s protagonist has anger issues, adding to the chaotic and humorous nature of the gameplay.

15. Flocks

Number 15, we’ve got Flocks. This is a multiplayer co-op game where players take on the role of flying shepherds, each tending to their own herd of different types of birds, including sheep.

You can try out the demo of this game on Steam. If you’ve had moments of fun playing games like Journey and Flower, you’ll definitely enjoy this. Flocks is scheduled to release on all platforms on July 16th.
